The scenes inside Ukraine are heartbreaking and it was a concern to see images - even before the shocking news from Mariupol - of sick children being evacuated from attack.
I asked the Foreign Secretary on my return to Parliament what medical support we were providing to give little ones like these a chance. I was pleased to learn they are being brought out of the country to continue treatment.
Moreover I was pleased to learn that Ministry of Defence and Foreign Office teams are working around the clock to locate and evacuate these sick children. I have asked Foreign Office Ministers to keep me updated on events.
