It was an absolute pleasure to join Headteacher Helen Emmett, Governors, and some star prefects Ashleigh, Timmy, Taylor, Chloe, Ava and Liam in officially opening their new look library at Heron Park Primary Academy & Nursery on Friday.
Filled with shelves of new books and comfy toadstools to help the children immerse themselves in the world of reading, this vitally important learning space has been transformed. There are exciting plans ahead too and I look forward to a return visit to see the woodland theme really coming to life!
The Library is key to the school’s work to power the children’s literacy and represents a very positive step forward and I congratulate all involved in the delivering this project.
