I am delighted that plans for this wonderful new school have been given the greenlight. During my first time as MP for the town, I lobbied and campaigned in Whitehall for funding for this and to know it will now happen is great news.
As a teacher, and as a parent of a child who has gone through special education, I also know how much this new school is needed and what a difference it will make to the local children who will go there and to their parents.
This is a real win for everyone and a substantial investment in education for our town by this government.
