Eastbourne’s International Airshow 20th Anniversary one of the biggest and best in the country.
“I think 2012 is my best Airbourne ever. Cold war bomber, The Vulcan, was simply stunning; it had a such a massive presence – predatory, powerful. I did smile though… just as I was lost in wonder at this feat of engineering, a local seagull moved into view, hovering effortlessly, riding the thermals, then dive bombed the crowd on the beach below with a superior grace, manoeuvrability.. you just can’t beat nature! I was pleased to step out in my Eastbourne Hospitality T shirt.
Looking for money is perhaps not the easiest task but many people approached us and gave generously. Airbourne is an important draw for Eastbourne as a tourist destination and whatever the debate around the formulae to estimate its value to the local economy, it is undeniably ”
