Ride & Stride’, a county -wide fundraising initiative for sussex historic churches trust.
“What a great way to raise funds. ‘The Ansell 4′ visited seven churches in and around Meads and Old Town. Everywhere we went we were greeted as friends and there was great camaraderie amongst fellow walkers and cyclists. I had the opportunity to take in the beauty of each church and that special atmosphere which comes from generations of prayer in the place. We spotted two weddings en route which was lovely.
In Eastbourne we have a rich heritage in our churches but with that comes serious costs, particularly hard for smaller rural churches. Ride & Stride is an excellent way to ensure their .. for future generations. I would have to say, as a confirmed motorist, cycling on the road did inspire much prayer also!”
