Eastbourne and Willingdon MP Caroline Ansell has received her second covid jab and said it was “mission critical” for people to make sure they do the same.
Caroline got the AstraZeneca vaccine at the former Mothercare shop in Hampden Retail Park yesterday.
She did so on the day the Government said those aged 18 could start booking their vaccinations as the country aims to have given every adult a Covid dose by 19th July.
“These next four weeks are mission critical for all of us if we are to complete the job and get everyone vaccinated,” said Caroline.
“That teenagers can now step up and get a jab is great news but it’s also vitally important older people make sure they get their second dose too.
“The data says two doses offers the best protection against the new Delta variant of Covid. Let’s keep going and all step forward to get a vaccination as this is the best way to end restrictions."
Caroline thanked all the staff at the vaccination centre. "Everyone is just a star,” she added.
