Caroline Ansell met with Marie Curie nurses and the charity’s ambassador and former footballer Chris Kamara at a Westminster event recently.
The reception was promoting Marie Curie’s manifesto for palliative and end of life care.
It sets priority policy recommendations to ensure that everyone affected by dying, death and bereavement receives the best possible care and support, now and in the future.
“I know many people across Eastbourne have first-hand experience of the wonderful and compassionate care Maire Curie offers, said Caroline. These recommendations have my full support.
The support we receive when nearing the end of our lives is just as important as any other point. It is crucial the right care is provided and we feel safe, comfortable and looked-after.”
