Eastbourne and Willingdon MP Caroline Ansell is asking for local people to nominate an NHS staff member or team to be the town’s candidate for a prestigious national award.
Caroline recently attended the launch of the NHS Parliamentary Awards – an annual event that recognises staff who have gone that extra step in their work.
She wants to nominate an NHS worker or team to be in the running for the award and would like local people to get in contact with their ideas.
“Without NHS staff, there would be no NHS and this has been especially true over the last two challenging years, when they have been on the frontline of the pandemic,” said Caroline.
“When my little boy was aged just five, he had life-saving surgery and a whole host of people were involved in his care and recovery.
“It’s hard sometimes to pick out just one person who has made all the difference but I am asking people in Eastbourne and Willingdon to send me details of a special person or team they would nominate for the award from which one will go forward as the entry for the constituency.
“I am a regular visitor to the DGH but these awards are also an opportunity for me to engage with our local care teams even more.”
Nominations have now opened and will close at midnight, Wednesday 6th April 2022. The awards ceremony is on 6th July.
There are several award categories people can nominate for. Details are available here: https://nhsparliamentaryawards.co.uk/categories
