This week has been one of loss with the passing of longstanding Meads councillor and my friend Barry Taylor.
Barry was passionate about Eastbourne and a long-serving and faithful public servant but more than any of this, he was a husband, dad and grandad first.

The Big Dig is taking place across Eastbourne this summer to reveal more of our town’s beginnings and I’m looking forward to getting involved. Organised by the council’s heritage team and open to all residents and I hope it will find out more about our history.
There were some very welcome, positive indicators around the performance of the economy this week, and the growth potential of digital enterprise in Eastbourne was the theme at a number of business events in town.
